Oculoplastics

WHAT IS OCULOPLASTIC SURGERY?

Oculoplastic surgery is used to correct vision problems associated with eyelids, the eye socket, or the tear ducts. However, some of the most common oculoplastic procedures are called blepharoplasty, entropion, and ectropion.

BLEPHAROPLASTY

Surgery to correct drooping upper eyelids is called blepharoplasty. Drooping of the upper eyelids can make a person look older, but can also interfere with clear vision.

If you find that you must...

  • Tip your head back to see better
  • Raise your eyebrows to lift your eyelids

Blepharoplasty may be the best way to bring back your un-obscured vision and a more youthful look.

ENTROPION AND ECTROPION

When lower eyelids turn inward (entropion) or outward (ectropion), our surgeons can restore clear vision by bringing the eyelids back into normal position.
